Hercules Power Wild Slot Review
I attempted to assemble a flat-pack bookshelf last weekend. While not technically in ancient Greek, the instructions may have been etched on the Parthenon because they made absolutely zero sense to me😮💨.
The finished product looked less like Scandinavian minimalism and more like a drunken Jenga tower post-earthquake🤦.
It certainly didn't evoke ancient Greek architecture's majestic columns and symmetrical beauty.
Speaking of Greece, the Hercules Power Wild slot from Fugaso features a much more competent builder – or at least, a much more competent demigod💪.
Gameplay
In most depictions of Hercules, he's a handsome, heroic mountain of a man. In Hercules Power Wild slot, he looks a little insane! Crazy enough to take on all manner of deadly mythical creatures.
You play on 5 golden reels, 3 rows, and 20 paylines. And the reels are on fire!
He's also the highest pay symbol, followed by a lion, a 2-headed wolf, a minotaur, a gold helmet, and a gold chalice from his trials.
There are 2 Wilds, a blue and red version; the blue Wild is a Multiplier Wild that lands on reels 2 to 4 with a 2x or 3x value; the red version is a Roaming Multiplier Wild that appears during the Bonus, so I'll explain that under the Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). section below.
A shield and spears symbol acts as a Bonus symbol that triggers Free Spins when 3 or more land at once in the base game.
The only currency not accepted here is the yen. You can bet between $0.20 and $25, and the top multiplier is 8,750x, which can turn the highest bet into a very respectable $218,750 win.
The base game's RTPRTP stands for “Return to Player.” The RTP describes the total bet amount that a game returns to players over millions of spins, and that figure is represented by a percentage. Table games, such as Roulette, typically have higher RTPs than many slots.

Features
HOLD & WIN
When 3 or more Bonus symbols hit, you trigger a Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too).-style Super Bonus. The spears from the Bonus symbols are collected to 5 slots above the reels. The slot the spear lands in unlocks a reel in the Bonus.
You're taken to a new set of reels where 3 reels are unlocked. The Bonus symbols that triggered this feature stay in place and transform into Sticky Wilds.
The rest of the positions turn into single reels containing numbers 1, 2, and 3, Wilds and Bonus symbols. You start with 3 Re-spins, and reels spin independently.
When you run out of Re-spins, the total numbers on the reels are the number of Free Spins you're awarded, and any Wilds on the unlocked reels carry over into the Free Spins.
FREE SPINS
Regardless of the Super Bonus game results, when 3, 4, or 5 Bonus symbols, you'll be awarded a minimum of 9, 12, or 15 Free Spins, respectively. If you won a Sticky Wild during the Super Bonus, they stay in place until the end of the feature.
You're taken to yet another set of 5x3 reels with a Progress Bar above the reels. Every Bonus symbol that lands can add 1 or 2 spears to the progress bar.
Collecting 4 spears will get you to a milestone, where you're awarded a 3x, 5x, then 10x Roaming Multiplier Wild and 2 additional Free Spins. The Roaming Wild moves around on reels 2 to 4. If it lands on a Sticky Wild, its values are added together.
The game continues until you run out of Free Spins. Then, you're awarded the total win resulting from all the wins and returned to the base game.
BUY BONUS
You can skip right to the Bonus with the minimum number of Free Spins for 100x your bet, or skip to the Super Bonus, where you can win 1 to 3 Sticky Wild symbols at the start of Free Spins for 200x your bet.
Performance
Like a true champion, Hercules Power Wild slot played successfully on my gaming laptop and Android phone.
Maximum Win
The most you can win here is 8,750x or $218,750 if you're wagering the highest bet in the range, which goes from $0.20 to $25.
Conclusion
I will admit that I was a little disappointed when I finally won the Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). Bonus; it's more of a pre-Free Spins feature. And it's a complicated mess, really. You don't necessarily win all the Sticky Wilds if they're on a locked reel.
You want Sticky Wilds and as many free positions as possible to award more Free Spins, so it's a trade-off. Free Spins are standard with a Progress Bar like in the Big Bass series of games, but there, you get 10 additional Free Spins instead of 3 when you reach a milestone.
The game awards a minimum number of Free Spins anyway, so to me we didn’t need the Super Bonus that potentially removes Sticky Wilds from your Free Spins round because it landed on a locked reel. I want the Free Spins I win and all the Sticky Wilds.
If you're after a game that offers Free Spins with a Progress Bar and an actual Hold and WinThis feature plays out on a new screen. Typically, you get 3 re-spins (which could be re-triggered), and the triggering symbols usually stick to the position on which they land. Your objective is to land as many symbols as possible on the grid (you could land blank tiles, too). Bonus, check out Big Bass Bonanza - Hold & Spinner slot instead. It has a top win of €380,000 and a 10,000x max multiplier.
