The Minotaurus (or Minotaur as more commonly known) was a mythological creature with the head of a bull and the body of a man. Having a somewhat ravenous appetite for human flesh, he was a bit problematic.

The backstory is twisted:
King Minos of Crete was sent a white bull to sacrifice to Poseidon. But thought Minos “this bull is so cute, I just can't do it.” So he spared it's life. Enraged, Poseidon cursed Minos's wife to fall in love with the bull and mate. (aw gross – who thought this stuff up?)
The offspring was the Minotaurus who King Minos confined to a labyrinth. The Minotaurus couldn't have been the sharpest tool in the shed because he remained trapped there for a very long time.
After Athenians killed a son of Minos, the Cretan King reigned terror on the city. The only way they managed to appease him was to send 7 young men and 7 young women to the labyrinth every year.
Yum yum said the Minotaurus...
Theseus of Athens vowed to kill the creature and volunteered to become a sacrifice. Upon arrival in Crete, Princess Ariadne fell in love with him. She gave him a plan of the labyrinth and a ball of string. Theseus met the Minotaurus, killed it with one blow, and returned triumphantly to Athens with the Cretan Princess.

OK – now that you can write a “thesis on Theseus”, let's get down to reviewing Minotaurus! This video slot by Endorphina can be played on pretty much any device you choose whether it be P.C, mobile or tablet. A harrowing scene is set right away as the game takes place in the labyrinth itself. With flickering flames and eerie noises, I could imagine this translating into a piss in your pants horror film. I pictured myself as a sacrifice to this monstrous creature, but truth be told I wasn't too scared at the thought. I mean – c'mon there's no way I don't think about bringing in some string along! (and possibly a tranquilizer? For me that is - oh and one for the Minotaurus too...)

Gameplay

Conclusion

There are better games out there than Minotaurus when it comes to both gameplay and features. But, I have to say I still had a blast (maybe my tidy profit is affecting my judgment). The expanding wild is an exciting addition to a game that is steeped in atmosphere – a winning combo!
