Money Farm 2 Slot Review

Slot game sequels represent a touchy subject amongst players and for good reason. While a great sequel can take the original game to new heights, a bad sequel can crush any reputation that the original game has created. In the case of Money Farm 2, there certainly wasn’t a call for a Money Follow up, so it’s hard not to tag this game as a simple cash grab for developer GameArt.

You might be thinking that we’re being a bit harsh on Money Farm 2. But as the following review explains, apart from giving the appearance of the game a slight upgrade, in every department this is pretty much the same barmy barnyard game as Money Farm.

Gameplay

When it comes to Money Farm 2, you’re dealing with a pretty standard 5-reel, 3-row game layout. On top of this, you’ll be working with 25 paylines, so once again there isn’t going to be anything within Money Farm 2 that’ll catch players off guard. Even the betting levels are pretty flat, with a max bet of 25 coins – coin values range between 0.01 and 0.5.

Kicking open the barn door, there isn’t too much to entice players to step inside within the paytable of Money Farm 2. Across the cows, pigs, sheep, dogs, and goats, you aren’t going to find anything outside of a few token payouts, with the top prize in the base game being just 500 coins.

Features

Money Farm 2 has a base game that’s fun in moments, but largely forgettable on a whole. That being said, helping the game live up its name, the bonus features in Money Farm 2 do help boost the game’s payout power. The wild holds the key to the bonus action here, as it’ll give you an instant 1,000-coin payout for finding 5 on a payline, but that’s not all, as it will also substitute for all regular symbols. You also have a scatter symbol to make use of, which quite fittingly takes the form of a golden egg, so expect this symbol to keep laying free spins the more you’re able to pick up. During all free spins, Money Farm 2 sprinkles additional wilds into the mix as well, which can work to jazz things up a bit.

While the bonus features in Money Farm 2 are fun, they aren’t exactly innovative. Compounding the predictability, this game also has a gamble round. Simply predict whether the next card from the deck is red or black and you’ll be in with the chance of doubling your money. Money Farm 2 isn’t without its bonus features, but the lack of creativity hurts this game as a sequel.

Max Win

Money Farm 2 displays one obvious advantage over the original Money Farm, and that’s a bigger jackpot. At 12,500 coins, it’s best its predecessor by over 10,000 coins, but that doesn’t cover the fact that this game – for something that’s medium to high variance – has a criminally low max win. Cheap to play it might be, but a jackpot that barely reaches five figures simply isn’t good enough in our opinion.

Performance

Money Farm was a pretty good-looking slots game in its own right, as the cartoon barnyard theme presented something bright and bubbly to get stuck into. Money Farm 2 carries the same look and vibe, as it largely replicates the original aside from a few visual upgrades. There really isn’t much to say on the performance and presentation front when it comes to Money Farm 2, as it’s more or less a clone of the original Money Farm.

Conclusion

Money Farm 2 is a cheap and affordable real money online slots game, but it doesn’t go beyond that sadly. GameArt obviously wanted to create something that closely resembled the original Money Farm, but that’s part of the problem. The original Money Farm wasn’t a particularly neither a good nor memorable slot game, so the sequel needed to be bigger, better, and more boisterous. Money Farm 2 simply isn’t this, as it’s effectively a slightly more rewarding version of Money Farm, so it’s probably not likely to live long in the memory.
